Marine Safety in Maryport Harbour Maryport
Harbour sits at the mouth of the River Ellen in Cumbria and provides a
safe haven for recreational users and commercial fishermen. Maryport
Harbour Authority have provided the following information to all users
of the harbour in the hope that harbour users will find this information
useful and that it will contribute to the continued safe use of Maryport
Harbour. Harbour users
should ensure that they are in possession of up-to-date information,
which may be obtained from the harbour office adjacent to the marina,
from local notices to mariners and from up to date admiralty charts and
nautical publications. Whilst these
publications provide information and advice on use & navigation
within Maryport Harbour, it is a supplement to, and not a substitute for
good seamanship.
